OMG, it’s good to finally be somewhere where I understand what people are screaming at me when I piss them off. Our schedule the next few days is pretty light. Just chillin’, might go to see Oppenheimer at an IMAX tomorrow, go to a couple museums, but otherwise just relax.
Coldplay Concert
For those that haven’t seen a Coldplay concert, you should make an effort to do so. They put on an AWESOME show. Lots of fun, and the audience is part of the show, as everyone was given LED wristbands that are electronically controlled. The effect is super-cool and adds a […]
Omaha Beach
Sorry folks, posting this a bit out of order. Omaha beach was one of the bloodiest and unforgiving of the 5 beaches on D-Day. Between ineffective air bombardment, high seas swamping many of the tanks intended to support the troops, currents pushing many landing craft East of where they were […]
The Ardennes

Utah Beach & St-Mere-Eglise
It’s hard to put into words how awe-struck I was at being where the battle of Normandy kicked off. To be surrounded by so much history, and hearing the many tales of suffering, bravery, loss, and achievements is truly a profound experience. It reveals facets of humanity that are both […]
Arromanche
Visiting Gold, Juno, and Sword beaches today. Having lunch in quaint Arromanche for some Poisson et Frittes

We are on day 3 of our guided tour, and it’s been non-stop ingestion of information and details. That said, I should be posting more pictures and info soon. In the meantime, here is a picture of Truman in front of the church at St-Mere-Eglis. This is the city many […]
Oh, I should mention..
Truman and I decided to bar hop on the walk back to the hotel. I can definitely vouch for beer being stronger here. Posts from this point forward tonight might be sketchy.
Catacombs
Whelp, we did the catacombs today. They were as cool as walking through a tomb of 800,000 people could be, but it was just macabre. Seeing walls and walls of human bones just ain’t my thing.
